Kelly Lydia Ricci, 31, originally from Wilmington, North Carolina suffered a brain aneurysm on January 22, 2020 and died three days later on January 25, 2020 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Kelly was born in Silver Lake, North Carolina on June 15, 1988. She received her B.B.A from the University of Virginia in 2010. She continued her education and received her Masters in Human Resources Management in 2013.
Though she had moved to the Pittsburgh region, she remained an active member of the Brighton Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake. She belonged to the Historic Wilmington Foundation and worked with various charities. Her interests included music, photography, traveling and festivals. She devoted much of her time to her furry dog baby and best friend Axel whom she leaves behind. She is survived by her father, Raymond Ricci of Silver Lake, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the Pittsburgh and Wilmington regions.
Ms Ricci is preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Teresa (Ricci) Weber and Robert Weber, grandparents, Pete and Shirley Ricci, Kenneth and Renee Humphrey. In keeping with Kelly's loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so others may live it. All whom loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when pertinent) and her undying love and caring of others.
Services will be private and arranged by Walter Zalweski Funeral Home, Pittsburgh PA in conjunction with Coble Ward Smith Funeral Services, Wilmington NC. The family suggests memorial contributions to any charity or humane rescue organization. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of UPMC for your loving kindness and caring of Kelly.
