Kelly Michael Bryan, 42, of Warroad, Minnesota, passed away on March 29, 2023 unexpectedly. Kelly was born on December 24, 1980 in Washington Missouri to Tim and Paula Bryan.
Kelly graduated from Warroad High School in 2000. He worked at the Warroad casino for a couple years then was hired on at Polaris Industries as a welder. Kelly was always looking for a way to make the people around him happy, drawing people in with his booming laugh and love of adventure. Growing up Kelly was my a great protector for his family and friends and never missed a chance to help a stranger in need.
Kelly settled in the Wannaska area where he became the father of two boys, Toby and Tyler. Kelly adored his sons and loved them fiercely. He spent hours teaching them about the woods, logging, tools and car care. He was so incredibly proud of them, and that he was given the honor of being their dad.
In 2020, Kelly began a new chapter with Verna McKay. They found a deep love and were blessed enough to share that time with his boys, her children, and grandchildren. Kelly instituted Family Funday Sunday. Their table was filled with family, food, love, and laughter.
Kelly loved being in the woods, logging, camping, singing, acting, homesteading, using his hands to build things, and teaching his sons everything he knew. Kelly also loved the Boundary Waters in Eli MN. He loved the adventure of foraging for food, canoeing 50 miles, hiking another 20 miles, and soaking up the calm Mother Nature offered.
Kelly is survived by his sons Toby and Tyler, father Tim Bryan, mother Paula Foix, sisters Julie Bell, Hollie Bryan, and Angie Johnson, nephews Justin and David, nieces Addison and Alexis, grandmother Patricia Stellon, and many aunts and uncles who loved him deeply. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Gene Austin, grandfather Steve Reandeau, grandmother Avis Reandeau, and grandfather James Bryan.
