Kemal BurnleyMonroe - A service in celebration of the life of Bobby "Kemal" Burnley will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, 1200 Lamy Lane. Dr. Mark Fenn will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Kemal passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Monroe, Louisiana in the presence of his wife and family. Kemal was born on February 7, 1963 in Oak Grove, Louisiana. He graduated from Neville High School in 1981. As he became a popular salesman at Kincaid Limited Men's Wear in Monroe, he also attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated summa cum laude receiving the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After college, his career path carried him from Monroe to Oakland, California where he taught and supervised mentally handicapped in a group home environment and special school. Returning to Monroe, he taught in the public school system, worked at Fiesta Nutrition Center of Monroe, and most recently served as a care professional Supervisor at Care Solutions. He married Patricia Lynn Black on December 28, 2016 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. They established a loving home in Monroe, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Burnley, parents-in-law, Martha and Wayne Black of West Monroe; parents, Mary Glenda Burnley and Bobby Dale Burnley of Monroe; brother, Kevin Dale Burnley and wife, Beverly of West Monroe; sister, Kellison Burnley and her husband, Scott Whorton of Asheville, North Carolina. It was obvious to all who knew Kemal that he adored his wife, Patricia, and loved unconditionally his family including his niece, Katie McCormick and husband, Nathan; great niece Burnedette McCormick; nephew, Kirk Burnley; nephew, Brandon Marionneaux and wife, Arden; niece, Brooke Goforth; great nieces, Emma and Andi Kate Goforth.Kemal left us an infinite store of delightful memories and will be remembered as a genuine, loving, kind, compassionate, humorous, witty and loyal friend. He was also a talented photographer, artist, writer, devoted triathlete and mountain biker. He was passionate for music and loved sharing that joy with others. Kemal was a unique gift and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Pallbearers will be Jon R. French, Doug Green, Terry Kincaid, Mike McMellon, Bobby Williamson, and Bill Willson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Black and Kirk Burnley.
