A life well lived

On May 23rd, 2022, the world lost a wonderful man. Kenneth Long, aged 77, passed away in McAlester, Oklahoma. Kenneth was born on October 23nd, 1944, to Herman and Edith Long, and he had an incredible life that was filled with love, laughter, and joy.

After attending Tuskahoma High School, Kenneth moved to Arizona and married Loranna in 1964. Together they moved to Oregon where he pursued a career in the logging industry. He was a hardworking man who showed up every day with a can-do attitude. He was respected by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched.

He was married to the love of his life, Loranna Long, and together they created a beautiful family. Kenneth was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his loved ones more than anything in the world. The children include: Geneva McKay with spouse David McKay, Bobbie Duncan with spouse Domanic Duncan, Marie Palaroan with spouse Josh Palaroan, and K.C. Long with spouse Danita Eddings. The grandchildren include Jeremy McKay, Misa with spouse Junior Barrios, Lora McKay, Kenneth Duncan, April Duncan, Dannah with spouse Nick Moss, Grace Palaroan, Josie Palaroan, Joshua Palaroan, Dean with spouse Cheyenne Eddings, Katie Eddings with spouse Kane Cullar. The great-grandchildren include: Theo and Benny Barrios, Alex Barber, Shelbi Duncan, Dakota Duncan, Ashlyn Snead, Ezio Moss, and Mason Eddings. The great-great-grandchild includes Henry Duncan.

Above all else, Kenneth was a kind and compassionate man who would do anything for the people he loved. He had a heart of gold, and he always put the needs of others before his own. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him, but his memory will live on forever in their hearts.

Rest in peace, Kenneth Long. Your life was a true inspiration, and your spirit will never be forgotten.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Herman and mother Edith, and his sisters Trecia Long, LeeOda Wells, and Doris Wells.
