Kenneth GeorgeApril 28, 1924 - April 8, 2016Kenneth George, 91, of Ross Fork Creek, Idaho passed away on April 8, 2016 surrounded by his family at his home.He was born on April 28, 1924 in the Fort Hall hospital to Eugene George and Susie Snipe.He went to boarding school at Chemewa School in Oregon where he played and lettered in basketball. Kenneth worked as a range rider for a while and worked for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe in the commodities program. Kenneth loved to work with and being around horses. His favorite horse that he had was Whitey. He loved watching old western movies, going on long drives while listening to old country music, going hunting and trapping, going up to Mt. Putman, and going to rodeos.He is survived by his sister Joyce George Leon, of Aberdeen, and numerous nieces and nephews.Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Eugene and mother Susie, his half-brother, Raymond Meeks, his brothers Stanley George, Kenneth Larson Grant (whom he helped raise), his brothers, Larson George, Roger George, and his sisters, Magdelena George Johnson, Evelyn George Ellsworth, Zelda George, and Eula Meeks.A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday April 10, 2016 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. A viewing and visitation will follow the prayer service from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Monday April 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mission Church in Fort Hall.
