LYONS, WI - Age 70 passed away unexpectedly on February 15 at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Arizona. Ken was born on March 25, 1944, in Lyons, WI, to the late LeRoy and Virginia "Toots" (Schoenberg) Held. He was a lifelong resident of Lyons. He attended St. Joseph's School, Burlington High School, Farm and Industry Short Course at UW-Madison. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Army in Pleiku, Vietnam. Ken was actively farming until 1996. He then started working at Plasticraft in Darien, WI, until 2008. In 2010, Ken and his fiancee', Pauline Simon, started splitting their time between residences in Lyons, WI, and Maricopa, AZ. He thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful weather, drinking cold beer, and joking around with friends and family in both areas. He is survived by his fiance', Pauline Simon, his children, Joanna (Brian) Wagner, Robert (Joy Focacci) Held, Brian Held, and Jon Held, his grandchildren, Alex, Charlie, Laila, and Riley, his mother, Toots Held, the mother of his children, Joy Held, his siblings, Karen Schatzman, Kathy (Peter) Fischer, Pam Cattani, Tom (Arlene) Held, and Patty (Brian) Simon. A Memorial Mass will be performed at 11:00am on March 28th at St Joes Church in Lyons, WI, by Fr James Volkert. A visitation will be held for one hour before the mass. There will be a Celebration of Life from 1:00-400pm at the St Joes Activity Center. Serenicare Funeral Home of Tempe, AZ, served the family.
