Stangel, Kenneth J. "Ken"Kenneth J. "Ken" Stangel, age 64, of Dodgeville, died on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at his home following a stroke. Ken was born on February 8, 1952 in Two Rivers to Harvey and Florence (Goetz) Stangel. He was a 1970 graduate of Roncalli High School and a 1975 graduate of U.W. Stout. Ken married Vickie Reynolds of Dodgeville on July 17, 1976. Ken taught Business and Marketing at Moraine Park Technical College until moving to Dodgeville in 1998 where he taught at S.W. Technical College for a year. Ken and Vickie also owned and operated Fieldhouse Fruit Farm in Dodgeville. Ken's love of small business led to him working part time at Kwik Trip. He was a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity and enjoyed being a DECA Advisor on both the high school and college level. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, grocery shopping and shooting pool with his sons. Always involved in his sons' activities, he was a Scout Leader and Coach for their football, soccer and wrestling endeavors. His greatest joy was time spent with family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents;his mother-in-law, Virginia Reynoldsand his cousin, Tom Pyrek. Ken is survived by his wife, Vickie of Dodgeville;four sons, Kirk (Erin) Stangel of Greendale;David (Sara) Stangel of Oconomowoc;Michael (Ashley) Stangel of Johnson Creek and Nathan (Maria) Stangel of Dodgeville;six grandchildren, Jackson, Cadence, Bo, Ava, Sullivan and Eisley Stangel;four siblings, Ronald (Kay) Stangel of Two Rivers;Paul (Leora) Stangel of Sturgeon Bay;Teresa (John) Quello of Kimberlyand Lori (Lee) Mueller of Kewaunee;his father-in-law, John "Jack" (Marian) Reynolds of Dodgeville;Vickie's siblings, Roxanne (Robert) Reynolds-Lair of Dodgeville;Dr. Marsha (Dan) Van Riper of Chapel Hill, NC;Cherie (Kevin) Greek of Appleton;Pamela (Terry) Sible of Orlando, FLand John (Cindy) Reynolds III of Dodgeville;his cousin and best friend, Lee Gauthier as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville with Msgr. Daniel Ganshert officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville and at the church on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M.
