KENNETH JAMES JONES KERNERSVILLE. Kenneth James Jones, 74, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at UNC Memorial Hospital. Kenneth was born on November 17, 1942 in New York to James Eldridge and Catherine Lawler Jones. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, enjoyed traveling the US and the world and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by three sisters, Nannette Frey, Leslie Jones, and Catherine Troxel. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Karen Jones; three children, Tracy Kassel (Bob), Christopher Jones, and Jennifer Mathis (Mark); five grandchildren, Eric Kassel, Karl Kassel, Madison Kassel, Lauren Zanni and Annalee Mathis; and half brother, Jeff Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
