In Loving Memory

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Layton Fonseca Jr. announce his passing. Kenneth will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Kenneth Layton Fonseca Jr., an 11 year resident of Corona, California, passed away September 15, 2018.

Kenneth is survived by his best friend and wife of 29 years, Talonna Nyree Fonseca; his daughter, Alaychia Lanier; their three sons, Kenneth Layton Fonseca III, Marcus Jeffrey Fonseca and Jade Zion Fonseca; two grandchildren, Avery and Amina Fonseca; his mother, Carol Mead; loving sister, Staci Fonseca Curry; and brothers, Jeffrey Fonseca,  Michael Fonseca and Dante Winston. Kenneth was 50 years old when he passed.

Kenneth was born at UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.  He attended Virginia Road Elementary, Mt Vernon Jr High and then soon graduated from Susan Miller Dorsey High School.  He pursued his love of photography by attending LA Trade Tech and then later becoming a member of the community college district as a Photography Teacher, loved by all and the staff.  Ken found a new career at Kodak still continuing to follow his passion and love for photography for many years.  As time moves on so does trends and changes in our lives.  Ken found a new career and new friends in mortgage finance. He learned a new trade and made many friends and touched so many others with his gentle presence and truth. As he continued to still love the his craft of photography, he continued to improve his skills and continue with the same love and compassion by helping those who came to him.  Because of his love of photography, countless people have beautiful and professional memories of their weddings, retirements, baby showers, sporting events and exquisite family photographs.

Ken also had another passion for writing and storytelling.  He is one of the most creative people when it comes to telling a story and visualizing his creativity. He recently began a short film and writing a children’s book.  He loved the time he had at home with his four kids helping to raise them and telling his many stories to them throughout their childhood.  Time and memories that will not be forgotten. Fight on baby!

Ken and Talonna met in 29 years ago and began to build a beautiful family and many friendships along the way.  Helping others and enjoying family, food and fun was Ken.  He will be forever loved and missed and never forgotten.

Kenneth was an exceptional man, father, husband, brother, son and friend with a passion for photography in which he held a degree. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. His forever going love of the Green Bay Packers and football in general. He is a fan of Jazz and Christmas music all year long. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Ken you were blessed by his kindness and sincere love towards people and helping others. Regardless of your walk of life or religious belief he would talk to you and lend an ear or a shoulder. Words cannot describe how loving he was. His study of all religions and continued research led him to be stronger in his own beliefs.  Truly a man that has taught so many how to love.
