Kenneth Lee Hawkins Kenneth Lee Hawkins, 90, husband of Mary Elizabeth (Snider) Hawkins, of Beaufort, SC, passed away on April 6, 2016 at his residence. A graveside memorial service will be held atThe Parish Church ofSt. Helena CemeteryonTuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11 am. He was born on March 8, 1926 in Coshocton Co., Ohio to the late Benjamin and Lucinda (Rodock) Hawkins. He entered the U.S. Navy on March 9, 1943, during WW II and served until he retired with the rank of Commander in April, 1973.In retirement, he and Mary, with their interest in antiques foundedPort Royal Antiques, The Cat's Meow which was in business for 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary, whom he married November 5, 1948; a son, John (Diane) Hawkins of Beaufort, SC; three daughters, Sandra (George)Biszakof Beaufort, SC, Debra (Steve) French of Atlanta, GA and Teresa Hawkins of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew, Kenneth, Heather and Robin; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Logan and Teagan and a sister, Betty JuneLaugheryof Butler, OH. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth McClain and Mary Lou Huff and a grandson, Kevin Hawkins.
