Kenneth Lee HerndonKenneth Lee Herndon,78, Springfield, passed away on November 26, 2016. Kenneth was born on February 2, 1938, in Ellington, Mo. to Harley and Frieda (Bacon) Herndon. He was a life-long meat cutter, retiring from Harter House after many years. He attended Golden Harvest Church, loved fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son: Richard Herndon, and wife Lisa, daughter Lori Hensley and husband David. Two grandchildren: Elise and Jacob Herndon, two sisters: Karen Cornell and husband Ron,and Kathy Brohn and husband David, and nieces: Sheri and Kayla, aunt Lorene Adkins, and loving friend Charlotte Herndon, and many other friends and family members. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation, Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at The Manor at Elfindale for their loving care. :
