Kenneth M. DraiseRICHMOND DALE: Kenneth M. Draise 75, of Richmond Dale, passed away 3:38 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016, at Signature Health Care following an extended illness. Kenny was born on August 12, 1941 in Clarksburg, the first born child of the late Maynard Draise and Dolly (Seymour) Draise. He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Dolly May Draise and grandson Joshua Fries. Kenny was a retired corrections officer at the Chillicothe Correctioinal Institution for the state of Ohio where he proudly served for 25 years. He enjoyed singing, playing the drums, and attending church at the Chillicothe Worship Center where he was a member of. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, raising rabbits, spending time with his family, and sitting on the porch drinking coffee. Kenny was always known for the smile on his face and the love in his heart. He was a friend to everyone he knew, had a special place in his heart for kids, and was everyone's "Papaw".Kenny will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty (Matson) Draise; three children, Roger (Patty) Draise, of Londonderry; Nancy (Kenneth) Fries, of Richmond Dale, and Mary (Trent) Wampler, of Richmond Dale; five grandchildren, Natasha (Chris) Smith, of Chillicothe, Brian Draise, of Londonderry, Nathan Fries, of Richmond Dale, Courtney (Brady) Jamison, of South Salem, and Kylie Wampler, of Richmond Dale; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Bailey, and Landon Smith; two siblings, Julie "Ann" Blanton, of Columbus and Carl Draise, of Circleville; seven nieces and nephews; Charles Blanton, of Columbus, Tim Blanton, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Bobby (Lisa) Blanton of Columbus, Tina (Barry) Starkloft, of Ft. Myers, Fl., Carl "Bo dog" (Diana) Draise, of Circleville, Angie Draise of Laurelville, and Jeremy Draise, of Circleville. Kenny will forever hold a special place in the hearts of many, such as: Ronnie Draise Sr., Dixie Wood, Kay Matson, Dane Patterson, Robin Rider, and all of the staff members and residents of Signature Rehabilitation Center, where he was resident since February 2, 2016. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Richmond Dale Church of God with Pastors Jamie Hitchcock, John Evans Sr., and Bertha Williams officiating.
