Kenneth Neles "KN" Smith of Durant, Ok was born on September 14, 1931 to Guy Smith and Laura Fulks in Summerfield , OK . He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 12, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.

KN served as member of the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service in the military he went to work on the railroad. He dedicated the next 35 years to the railroad before retiring where you would likely find him in his recliner watching wrestling with his faithful companion "Pepper" on his lap.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Frances Smith; two brothers; three sisters and one great grandson.

KN is is survived by his children, Guy Smith and wife Kayla of Garvin, OK, Barnell Smith and wife Dawn of Calera, OK, Lillie Brown and husband Arthur of Durant, OK, Belinda Cook of Durant, OK, Rose Boyle and husband Danny of Lawrence, Kansas, Roy Davenport and wife Miecia of Cushing, OK, Elaine Combrink of Durant, Ok and extended daughter, Autumn Portman of Durant, OK; 11 grandsons; 9 granddaughters and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 18, 2016 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Tommy Green will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Donnie Portman, Thomas Robertson, Arty Joe Page, Michael Stinson, Albert Pierce, Grady Ford and Teddy Kilburn serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com. A Celebration of life luncheon will be held at 12:00 PM prior to the Service.
