Kenneth W.Sprunger, Jr.Aug. 4, 1951 - Oct. 27, 2016NORTH LIBERTY - Kenneth W. Sprunger, Jr., 65, of North Liberty, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth. Ken was born on August 4, 1951, in LaPorte, IN, to Kenneth Sr. and Sandra Sprunger. Although he spent some time in Virginia and Michigan, he spent most of his life in the North Liberty area.Ken is survived by his mother, Sandra Sprunger of North Liberty; his brothers, Dan Sprunger of North Liberty, IN, Rich Sprunger of South Bend, IN, and Jeff (Kelly) Sprunger of Newburgh, IN; and his niece, Catie Sprunger; his daughter, Sandra C. (Chris) King of Plymouth, IN; three grandchildren, Nano Tijerina, Angel Tijerina and Alexandra King. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W., Sr.; sister, Jeanette Sprunger; and brother, Bruce Sprunger. Kenneth worked in tooling and engineering for over 40 years, retiring in 2013, from Aerojet Automotive and worked for South Bend Tool & Die, Bosch and Ford Motor Company. He held a brake design patent and enjoyed graphic design. He was an alumni of Southwestern Michigan University and was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame football and loved the Chicago Cubs. Funeral services for Kenneth Sprunger will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home - North Liberty Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, North Liberty, IN.
