Kevin Lance McDanielMarch 6th,1964- February 28th, 2016Kevin Lance McDaniel of Yuma, Arizona, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona.Kevin was born on March 6, 1964 in Blythe, California and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1982. At the age of 14, he started working for his parents at Mac's Steak House. In 1985, he married the love of his life, Tammy, and earned his certificate in Electrical and Refrigeration at ITT Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He returned to Blythe and was employed by Johnson Refrigeration. In 1987, he moved to Yuma, Arizona and started his 25 year career with Western Precooling. Kevin was a gifted musician. He played the sax, the bass guitar, and drums and instilled his love of music and talent in his children. Kevin loved the outdoors - camping, off-roading, riding his Harley, driving his jet boat, and fast cars. He was a good cook and enjoyed cooking for his family. He was always full of jokes, laughter, teasing, and had a mischievous nature. When friends and family were around Kevin, there was never a dull moment. Kevin was also an avid animal lover. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Tammy, four children, Jeremy, Matthew, Amanda, and Dillon, two grandchildren, Derek and Jayden Merritt, sisters Rhonda Entwistle (Norman) and Kristy Norris (Ronald), sisters-in law Jill Spaniol (Dave), Kay Cheatwood (Randy), and brother in law Roy Ewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Audrey McDaniel, brother Gregory McDaniel, and his four legged friend LuLu. His Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 701 E. Chanslorway, Blythe, California at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow at the Zion Fellowship Hall.
