It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kirk Rumsey, a beloved community member, dedicated family man, and accomplished professional, on July 5, 2023. Born on April 23, 1959, in Friendship, New York, United States, Kirk touched the lives of countless people during his time with us. Kirk was known for his gentle soul, radiant smile, and unwavering optimism. He was a pillar of strength for his family and friends, always offering a kind word or helping hand when needed. His generosity and compassion knew no bounds, and he brought joy to the lives of all those around him. As a devoted family man, Kirk cherished his role as a husband, father, grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was married to his loving wife, Joann, for over 20 years, and their partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Michael, Andrew, and Emma, instilling in them the values of love, integrity, and perseverance. Kirk was a highly regarded professional in his field, having dedicated over three decades to his career as an engineer. His creative vision and meticulous attention to detail left an indelible mark. Besides his professional success, Kirk was an avid lover of nature and the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending his free time hiking, fishing, and exploring the beauty of his surroundings. His appreciation for nature's wonders was infectious, and he often took his family and friends on memorable adventures that will be treasured for a lifetime. Kirk will be fondly remembered as a kind, selfless, and genuine individual who brought positivity into every situation. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be forever missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Joann; his children, Michael, Andrew, and Emma; his grandchildren; and numerous relatives and dear friends.
