It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kobe Mendelson, who was born on January 31, 1911, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, United States. He peacefully left this world on June 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Kobe was the beloved son of Erwin and Kristin (Sawatzke) Mendelson. He was the loving husband of Caroline, whom he married in 1931, and the devoted father of Edward (spouse Amelia), Regina (spouse Charlie), Carl (1934) , Clara (spouse Eric), Douglas (spouse Lillian), Dayton (spouse Lauren), and Edmund (1960). He was also a cherished grandfather to 12 grandchildren, 45 Great-Grandchildren, 97 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Kobe attended Maple Lake Junior High School and graduated in 1935. He went on to work as a Barber, where he dedicated many years before retiring in 2009. He was known for his exceptional skills and was even awarded the title of World's Most Fabulous Barber in 1971, 1982, 1999, 2001. He was usually found drinking and playing cards with his friends in the town's only bar.

Aside from his professional life, Kobe was a proud veteran who served in the Marines as a Corporal in the 11th Marine Depot Co. unit for 4 years. He also actively participated in the HLWW FFA organization, where he inspired many with his leadership and dedication.

In his free time, Kobe enjoyed reading, writing, and making videos on his website. He had a passion for life and a curious mind that never stopped exploring new hobbies and interests.

Kobe Mendelson will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.

May he rest in peace.
