Koon C. "Tommy" Hom at age 90 passed away on Monday July 16, 2012 in Yuma, AZ. He was born on October 27, 1921 in Oakland, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife Alice Hom.Tommy served in the U.S Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946. He was the owner and operator of Valley Store from 1950 to 1997.Tommy is survived by his sons, Bob (Beti) Hom of Costa Mesa, CA and Terry (Virginia) Hom of Anaheim, CA; daughters Mary (Rockey) Loo of Yuma AZ and Nancy (Tony) Ng of Phoenix, AZ; 6 grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.Viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel on Sunday, July 22, 2012 between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Services will follow the next day July 23, 2012 beginning at 10:00 AM. His final resting place will be Desert Lawn Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be Henry Tow, Larry Tow, Elwood Hom, Nathan Hom, Terry Tow, Kevin Wong, Brandon Ng and Darren Ng. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Chew, and Frank Hom.
