PIERCETON — Kristopher James Helmuth, 29, of Pierceton died Friday, September 18, 2015, in Ligonier. He had attended Westview High School and was a tradesman. He loved sports, especially basketball. He enjoyed working on cars. He was an excellent artist and euchre player. Kristopher was the most genuine, kind-hearted person, and had a heart of gold. He will be remembered for his goofy laugh. He dearly loved his dog, Brutus. He was born on January 18, 1986 in LaGrange to Jeffrey and Deena (Long) Helmuth. He is survived by his fiancee, Krystina Wagner of Pierceton; mother and step-father, Deena (Wayne) Bontrager of LaGrange; his father and step-mother, Jeff (Tonya) Helmuth of Topeka; two sisters, Leighann (Lynn McCoy) Kesterman of South Bend and Natasha (Michael) Handshoe of Topeka; two brothers, Kameron (Autum) Helmuth of Huntertown and Darren Stillson of Topeka; a niece, Clarissa; a nephew, Braylen; maternal grandmother, Lynn Scott of South Bend; paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Helmuth of LaGrange; step-grandmother, Katie Bontrager of Middlebury; and step-grandfather, Olen Eash of Nappanee. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenny Long; paternal grandfather, James Helmuth; and step-grandfather, Freddie Bontrager. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Maple Grove Church, 806 S. Main St., Topeka, with Pastor Drew Ryall of New Life Fellowship, Topeka, officiating. Pallbearers will be Kyle Trittipo, Kenny Long, Sam Brown, Nick Baughman, Joshua Lambright and Ryan Kauffman. Calling will be Monday, September 21, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
