Kumar Pandey, beloved father and husband, passed away on March 6th, 2024 in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 88. He was born on January 13th, 1936, and lived a fulfilling life surrounded by his loving family.
He started his journey from his village Dron in Siwan district of Bihar by taking a train to Calcutta then to New Delhi and Finally to the city of Mumbai. With a few years of employment here and there the entrepreneur in he tookshape in 1968 and thought that ‘every mould, dies, jigs, fixtures needs ground plates to make it precise and fast, why don’t I start manufacturing it.’ And in 1968, he started this business from his residential address called ‘Sunita Engineering Works’Today, Sunita Group has multiple factories in Vasai near Mumbai, 53 years in business this Group is the largest manufacturer of ground plates and mould bases in India. He has been felicitated by many institutions for his great contribution to the development of the tool room and plastic industry in India.He has a great love for his country and with a thought of not only giving back to the society but eradicating illiteracy and developing skilled people from the remote and rural part of the country, who will serve and grow the nation. He established a world-class CBSE school and a state of the art private ITI in Dron village, Siwan, Bihar. In a village where the nearest railway station is 18KM away and the district HQ is 40KM, the infrastructure of this institution can be compared with institutions in cities like Mumbai and New Delhi.His children, Sunita, Sanjay, Satish, and Neeta, remember him fondly as a devoted father who always put their needs above his own. He was a source of wisdom and encouragement, pushing them to pursue their dreams and never give up on themselves.
Kumar's legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren, who continue to honor his memory by living their lives with the same values and principles that he held dear. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
