Lalita Ybarra SaucedoAbilene, TXLalita Ybarra Saucedo was granted her angel wings on February 9, 2017. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family and friends that Lalita had touched in some way throughout her memorable life. Funeral services will be 1:00PM, officiated by Pastor Mona Lara, Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory St. with burial following in Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Visitation and Prayer service will be Monday evening from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.We wish so much of her time had not been lost to her illness and that her health could have been different for her and us. We know that she is at peace and her struggles are at an end. Although there is pain and sadness because she is gone, she left a legacy of her love that will forever remain in us. We ask that you keep her memories alive as well. Lalita was born on February 13, 1947 in Sanco, Texas to the late Pete and Pas Ybarra. She married the love of her life, Eliazar Saucedo, Sr., in Robert Lee Texas, on June 19, 1965 and moved to Abilene in 1969 where they raised a family. She retired after 28 years of teaching for Abilene Independent School District, Woodson Headstart. Lalita was a member of First Mexican Baptist Church and attended Shining Star Fellowship Church. She loved music, dancing, decorating, and celebrating any and all occasions along with her loving husband, family and friends. She loved telling stories and singing to her grandchildren, great -grandchildren and all the children in her life. Mom didn't wear many hats but definitely wore many shoes. Mom also loved garage sales and even to the end without her site would still love making a bargain. Preceding her in death were her parents and sisters, Julia (Nana) Longoria (Josue), Josephina (Chepa) Rocha (Jesus (Chuy)) and Eulalia Ybarra. She leaves behind her DEVOTING and LOVING HUSBAND of 52 years, ELIAZAR SAUCEDO, SR; Two sons, Reyes Ybarra and Eliazar Saucedo, Jr; Three daughters, Yolanda Saucedo-Stokes, April Flores (Ismael) and Ermila Borrego (Marty); One brother: Edward (Lalo) Ybarra (Francis); two sisters, Sortera (Chata) Galvan (Juan) of Robert Lee, and Rosa Tavarez (Oscar Sr.; Ten grandchildren, Elizer, Crystalina, Bianca, Raymond (Megan), Alexis (Antonio), Maria, Josephina Lalita, Isabella, Cash and Eliandra; Fifteen great-grandchildren, Zeferina, Sabrina, Talina, Laila, Marina, Rico, Eli, Julessa, Jeremiah, Anthony, Mya, Ma'Raya, Nevaeh, Cesario and Lucas (on the way). The family would like to thank Dr. Ibrahim Fakhoury, Abilene Lonestar Dialysis, and Kindred Heart Hospice for the care they gave to Mrs. Saucedo and to all the family and friends for the prayers and support they have received.
