Lamar Bryant MatthewsLafayette - Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 11am at St. Paul's Catholic Church for Lamar Bryant Matthews who died on April 4, 2017. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery Fr. Robert Seay will conduct the services.Lamar Bryant Matthews was born on December 14, 1989 to Leonard and Felicia Matthews. He was a graduate of Northside High School 2008 a former football player, was employed by Kelley Pipeline. He was loved by all that knew him. Lamar had a heart of gold, he would help anyone he could; always with a smile on face.On April 3, 2017, Lamar departed this life leaving to cherish his memories his parents Leonard and Felisha Matthews; one sister Laeisha Matthews; his maternal grandparents Alton, Sr. and Jessie Matthews; his maternal grandmother Doris Broussard; four god children Layla Paris(niece), Janathan Paris(nephew), Quentin Gallien, Avery Young; three aunts Marian(Charles)Colbert, Juanita (Leona)Bob, Sheila(Joseph)Prejean, Theresa Clemons, Michelle Broussard; five uncles Alton Jr.(Melanie)Matthews, John(Quisha)Dean, Clarence(Charlotte), Mckinley(Annettte), Theryl(Shrreyl) George his girlfriend Shayla Segura God parents Troy Matthews and Cynthia George and a host of cousins and friends.Preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Darnella Simmons George great grandparents Theresa Percy Matthews and Theresa Gallien and a host of aunts uncles and other relatives.
