HYRUM – Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, LaRee Beyeler Israelsen passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at her home in Hyrum, Utah. She was born on March 17, 1938, in Afton, Wyo., a daughter of Elmo John and Melba Elvina Anderson Beyeler. She was raised on a ranch outside of Cokeville, Wyo., where she learned the value of work. She graduated from Cokeville High School in 1956. LaRee graduated from Utah State University in education in 1961. LaRee married Eugene Kay Israelsen on July 7, 1959, in the Logan LDS Temple. A double wedding with her twin sister, LaRue and Ron Curtis. She taught fourth grade in Cokeville, Wyo., for a year. She and Eugene then moved to Baltimore, Md.; Killeen, Texas and Logan, Utah. She is a member of the Hyrum 11th LDS Ward, where she has served in various callings. She loved music and was very active in many singing groups. LaRee especially loved the Relief Society callings that she held. LaRee loved to sing with her twin sister, LaRue, at many functions. She also enjoyed being in barbershop quartets. LaRee liked to sew, quilt, draw house plans, can, make bread, paint and she loved to have impromptu family parties at their home. The family would like to thank the following Doctors and their loving staff: Dr. Jeffrey Huffman, Dr. Dirk Davis and Dr. Ali Ben-Jacob. They would also like to thank Legacy Hospice for their loving care. Surviving is her husband, Eugene of Hyrum; and seven children, Greg (Jill) Israelsen of Wellsville, Lori (Brent) Gillies of Brigham City, Paige (John) Edmondson of Folsom, Calif., Drew (Ami) Israelsen of Richmond, Wayne (Kathleen) Israelsen of Menifee, Calif., Matt (Amy) Israelsen of Hyrum, Mandy (John) Garcia of Ogden; and 20 grandchildren, which she adored. Also surviving is her mother, Melba Leitenberger of Brigham City; her sisters: LaRue (Ron) Curtis of Soda Springs, Idaho, and Connie (Robert) Coss of Perry. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmo; one son, Kenneth; and one brother, Elmo Enid Beyeler. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the Hyrum 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 200 East 600 South, Hyrum. Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the Hyrum 11th LDS Ward Relief Society Room and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
