OLD ORCHARD BEACH - Larry Edward Dodier, 59, of Old Orchard Beach died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial House in Scarborough.
He was born on April 18, 1957 to Edward and Lorraine (Boivin) Dodier in Amesbury, Massachusetts. He was educated in Amesbury schools and graduated from Amesbury High School, Class of 1975.
On May 28, 1988, he married Darlene Guerette at St. Margaret Church in Old Orchard Beach.
He started at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a pipefitter in 1976, and retired in April of 2012 working in Quality Assurance. When he wasn't working, he loved to be in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, gardening, golf and skiing. He loved his fishing trips with his friends.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Darlene Dodier of Old Orchard Beach; two daughters, Kalina and Stephanie Dodier, both of Saco; a brother, Donald Dodier and his wife Kim of Hampton, New Hampshire; a niece, Kara Chicoine and her husband John of Epping, New Hampshire; a nephew, Kyle Dodier of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
