Larry E. RoherApril 2, 1939 - Nov. 18, 2016MISHAWAKA - Larry E. Roher, Sr., 77, of Mishawaka, died on Friday, November 18, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. The Mishawaka native was born on April 2, 1939, to Charles and Charlotte (Ernsberger) Roher, both of which have preceded him in death. On September 27, 1956, Larry married Marsha Kling. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2013. Larry worked as a truck driver, and was also a racecar driver. He was a member of the Clay Civic Democratic Club and the Osceola American Legion. Larry loved to buy and resell things - his motto was “if he didn't have it, you didn't need it”. Larry is survived by his children, Tamara (Brian) Youngs of South Bend, Larry (Virginia) Roher, Jr. of Cassopolis, MI, Penny McIntire of South Bend, Diana (Paul) Singleton of North Liberty, and Mark (Beth) Roher of Granger; ten grandchildren,; 13 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Bill) Winland of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marsha; a son-in-law, John McIntire; and a brother, Ronald Roher. Family and friends will be received on November 21, 2016, from 1-3 PM with a funeral service in Larry's honor beginning at 3 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. Burial will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 East Day Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
