Larry "Poppy" G. LandonFORT WAYNE: Larry "Poppy" G. Landon, 76, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home. He was born on April 9, 1941 in Baltimore, OH to the late Ashley and Lora (Barber) Landon. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 296. He attended and worked at First Christian Church. He retired from FXI after 36 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians Fan.He is survived by his children, Tony (Patty) Landon, David (Kait) Landon, Christina (Chad) Graham, and Mary Ann Landon; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Ogg; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce L. (Lauhon) Landon of 49 years; and 9 sisters.Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at First Christian Church (4800 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46807) at 1:00 pm with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Klaehn, Fahl, and Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819) from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
