He was born on September 13, 1933 in Cedar City, Utah to Jewel A. and Pearl (Olson) Works. Larry grew up in Kanab, Utah; there he made many lifelong friends and enjoyed playing sports during his high school years. Early in his career he worked for Morrison Knudsen Construction Company building dams in Montana and Washington. In 1968, Larry moved his family to Redmond, WA where he worked as a civil engineer for the city. He retired from the city of Redmond and moved with his wife Marian to Anacortes so they could enjoy the beautiful Puget Sound. Larry spent many summers with his family boating in the San Juan Islands. He especially enjoyed clamming, crabbing and fishing and the comradery of fellow boaters. Larry cared for and loved his family pets, especially his Keeshonds Mindy, Heidi and Katie Rose. He always made sure they had their daily walks. Katie will miss her pa-pa Larry and Charlie Bears she regularly received. Larry was known to be quite the story teller among his family and friends. One good one right after the other! He loved to share stories about his youth. Larry is survived by his wife Marian of 57 years, daughters Kelly Anne Woodworth, Karen Susan Works, and son Jeffrey Andrew Works; his granddaughters Megan, Mia and Emma Works as well as three brothers Willis, Dave and Lane Little; and his many nieces and nephews.
