Larry Robert FrenchRedding, CA 1942 - 2017Larry Robert French passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne, his sister Karen and parents, Robert and Leona.He was born on February 11, 1942 in Brunswick, Maine. His family moved to California in 1955.He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Crossley and Michelle Towery and son Greg. He also leaves behind five Grandchildren. Destry, Nicole, Taylor, Janelle and Allie, one Great Grandchild, Sommer, one future Great Grandchild and two brothers Dennis and Randy.He was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from Cal-Trans after 35 years of service as Director of Environmental Planning. He was an active member of the Redding Men's Fastpitch Softball leagues from the early 1970's through the 1990's. He also was an avid bowler for many years at Timber Lanes and Country Bowl. He was an active golfer and member of Allen's Golf Course until his decline in health.He was an avid fan of the Giants and 49ers. We are grateful he was able to see the Giants finally win a World Series Championship-or Championships.If you knew our Father and wish to share any thoughts, memories or post any pictures, please feel free adding them to the online obituary guest book.
