Latoya Robertson, age 40, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond. She was born February 11, 1983, in Charlotte, to Carlton and Detris Metz. She was a 2005 graduate of West Charlotte High School. She married Shakir Robertson on August 15, 2015, in Richmond. She worked as a project manager with Dominion Energy, displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems. Latoya truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; cooking culinary cuisines, reading and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Shakir; a daughter, McKenzie; a brother, Carlton; parents, Carlton and Detris and many cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Latoya touched are invited to SCOTT’S FUNERAL HOME, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd, from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2023, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, celebrate the life and legacy of Latoya.
