Laura Ricks, a cherished resident of Morgantown, West Virginia, bid farewell to this world on February 7, 2024, at the tender age of 44. Born on January 31, 1980, Laura Leah Ricks passed away on February 7th 2024, from brain tumors surrounded by her family and close friends.
Laura Ricks was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by many lives she touched. Even though she got on peoples nerves she was still someone who was taken home too soon. Her family hopes she's riding her dream car through the heavenly golden gates and playing on the blissful clouds with the animals who passed before her Laura everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free and painless. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.
The funeral service will be held on February 18 2024, at 10:00am at North Acres Baptist Church (5803 Morgantown West Virginia 26501), Pastor David Lavine will be officiating this lovely service. Arrangements for this day are being handled by the family of this beautiful soul.
Laura was born in Charleston West Virginia she graduated Capital High School in 2000 and attended a year of college at University College
She enjoyed telling stories, helping people, spending time playing with all the beautiful animals she had, and spending time with her loving family. She was also actively involved in ST. Jude’s Children’s Hospital by donating any money she could spare through her time working at Best
Laura survived by her mother Paula Ricks her sister Erin Ricks.
She left behind her nieces Haley and Chloe stepbrothers James & Tyler and stepsisters Barbara, Tonya, and Jennifer and , Father Authur Ricks and other aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and other assorted family and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the family’s meal train, Restore Life USA, or other cancer charities. The family of Laura wishes to thank Restore Life USA for all the research they are going to conduct with the tumors, and UT Medical Center Hospice for all the time they spent with Laura even though it was short, and the care they gave during the heartbreaking final moments of Laura amazing life.
