Martinez, Laura A. 69, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, in Wichita. Laura was born on March 29, 1946 in Deerfield, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Eleanor Martinez. Laura retired after 24 years from the USD 259 food services. Laura was a STRONG loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Laura was preceded in death by her parents and sister, MaryAnn Dominguez. Survivors include her loving children, Tyrone (Melissa) Martinez, Tonia (Roberto) Garcia, Tracy Loraine Martinez, Richard Villa, India Villa; brothers, Johnny Martinez, Walter (Susan) Martinez Jr., Leroy (Vicki) Martinez, David Martinez; sisters, Veronica Brubaker, Donna Martinez, Dotty (Dennis) Farley, all of Kansas; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation with family present will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016; Funeral services for Laura will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 4200 N. Old Lawrence Rd., Kansas City, MO.
