Laura RothmanStuart, FLLaura (Honey) Rothman, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2017 in Stuart, FL. She was born on September 24, 1924 in Detroit, MI to Stanley and Tillie Podgorski. Laura, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother was predeceased by her caring husband, Irving Rothman and two sisters Irene Harris and Halina Salzman. Laura left Detroit to move to New York City in the 1940s to pursue a modeling and fashion career. Laura Rothman was truly a woman ahead of her time; independent, self-sufficient and strong willed. In 1957, Laura met the love of her life, Irving, and they married on January 21, 1958. Later that year they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Sue. Laura and Irving raised their family in Toms River, NJ and moved to Lake Worth, FL in 1980. Throughout Laura's life she excelled at making friends; through her lifelong love of Bridge, she enjoyed many long lasting relationships. Laura loved those close to her and always made an effort to enrich their lives. Left to remember Laura's love are her daughter, Sue (Frank) Conkling and her grandson Christopher (Mikki) Conkling, as well as her daughter, Laura (John) Mauer, her sisters Kay Golden and Lucia Pikaza, and her many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is planned for the future. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
