KERMIT, TX - Laura Sue (Long) Cravens, age 65, of Kermit, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. She was born on January 14, 1951 in Levelland, TX to Darwin D. and Lina Ruth (Cleveland) Long."Sue" as she was known to her many friends and family, was a member of the Belvue Baptist church. She had a love of music and was a huge fan of Conway Twitty and Elvis Presley. Sue was also a big fan of "The Young and the Restless". She enjoyed playing games on the computer, as well as, in real life. Often Sue could be found working outside and tending to her yard. She was an excellent cook and her cooking will be missed.Sue is survived by her mother: Lina Markley of Kermit, TX; four sons: Billy Jack Cravens of Amarillo, TX; Timmy Cravens and wife Minnie of Tyler, TX; Ricky Cravens of Monahans, TX and Ernie Long of Kermit, TX; one daughter: Shelby Cravens of Kermit, TX; one brother: Ernest Long of Monument. NM; one sister: Brenda Carrigan and husband Larry of Carlsbad, NM; twelve grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Preceding Laura in death was her husband: Bill Owen Cravens; her father: Darwin Long; two brothers: Dennis and Donal Long and one sister: Sandra Moorefield. A graveside memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Kermit Cemetery officiated by Mitchell Sims.
