Laurence "Wiz" Davis, 56, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on February 04, 2023, from natural causes.
Laurence was predeceased by Nathaniel L Davis, Ruth E. Winston, and Dennis Earl Clark II. He is survived by his son Laurence E Davis II (Junior), and his siblings, Susan M Davis of Arizona, and Brian K Davis, Eric J Davis, Michael J Conant, Richard S. Conant, Denise E Clark, and David E Clark of Los Angeles, California. Laurence was a private person who did not wish to have services but wanted private services for his close family and friends.
He was a very fun-loving person who liked to laugh and make others laugh. Laughter was his shield and a way for him to shine in the world. Larry also known as "Wiz" to those closest to him, knew that he was a lover of food. He mastered his chef skills in the kitchen and his "chicken wings" was his trademark. One person that he adored and lived for, was his son Laurence Junior.
Larry was born in Los Angeles, California to Nathaniel Louis Davis and Ruth Winston. He attended Crenshaw High School and later joined the U.S. Navy shortly after. After leaving the Navy Larry worked numerous jobs and had the opportunity to work in Legal services in Century City with prominent attornies, with one being the father of Kim Khardasian. Larry made friends just as fast as one could blink, he had a tough Darth Vader exterior but inside he was as soft as Yogi Bear, which was one of his favorite cartoons growing up. He will be greatly missed and cherished by his family and friends in Corpus Christy, Texas, and Los Angeles, California. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and extended family across the nation.
