HUDSON —LaVera M. (Beckberger) Noll, 92, passed away Friday, January 15, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. She was born on July 10, 1923 in Fort Wayne, the only child of Walter and Mildred (Hedglin) Beckberger. She grew up on farm in Salem Township near Helmer. She graduated from Salem Center High School. LaVera married Dawson Noll on July 18, 1942. They were married 67 happy years until Dawson's death in 2009. LaVera and Dawson along with Herschel and Isabelle Noll operated Noll Brothers Oil Company in Hudson for many years. LaVera was a licensed beautician and had her shop in Hudson for many years. LaVera had many friends and really enjoyed her membership in the Work & Play Club. She enjoyed working in her yard, visiting garage sales, and restoring antique furniture and life in general. She was very determined lady and got quite upset because of arthritis kept her from doing many of the pastimes she had enjoyed throughout her life. She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Michael and Linda Noll of Fort Wayne; grandson Thomas Michael Noll of Chicago; sister-in-law Isabelle Noll of Angola, host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Johnson Funeral Home, Hudson with calling today 3-6 p.m. Pastor Craig Burkholder will officiate and burial will follow at Circle Cemetery.
