Laverne FrostMelbourneLaVerne Frost, 84, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on January 6, 2017. LaVerne Frost was born on April 1, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio to Paul J. and Hazel O. Main. She grew up in a loving family as the youngest of four siblings, graduating from Chaney High School in 1950 and Kent State University in 1956. She married the love of her life, Charles E. Frost, on June 27, 1953. The family later moved to Eau Gallie, Florida in 1956 where Charles pursued a career in aerospace. LaVerne raised her children with love and dedication and later began her teaching career in elementary and pre-school. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Melbourne, Florida.After retirement, LaVerne and her husband shared their love of music in performing with community theatre, local choirs, including Brevard Community College Chorale, participating in trips abroad and singing in many concerts.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles E. Frost of Melbourne; sons, Douglas John Frost and Charles Scott Frost of Melbourne, Jeffrey Alan Frost and his wife Lynne of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and daughter Laurie Evelyn Frost of Apollo Beach, FL; grandsons, Heath Alan Frost and his wife Katherine, Ryan Everett Frost and his fiancé Elizabeth Forslund of Chyenne, WY, great-granddaughters, McKenzie Sierra Graf Frost of Franklin, Ohio, and Luci Lynne Fitzgerald Frost and Ellie Marie Frost of Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law Gwendolyn Frost of Columbiana, Ohio, and in addition, many cousins, nieces and nephews. LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and her sister.The family wishes to thank Home Instead, Grand Villa of Melbourne, River View Senior Resort, the pastors at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and Palm Bay Medical Center, for their care extended to her.A memorial service will be at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 am with later inurnment at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge. Family and friends will gather immediately after the service at Cotter Hall at St. Paul's for fellowship and refreshment.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's and to the .
