Lawrence "Larry" E. ParkerZANESVILLE: Lawrence E. "Larry" Parker, 87 died at 11:55 pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Oaks at Bethesda.He was born on March 7, 1927 in Monroe, Michigan and was a son of the late Roscoe and Cora (Ellison) Parker. Mr. Parker was an Army Artillery Lieutenant during the
Korean Conflict. He had retired from Mobile Home Ranch and was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Masonic Lodge for over fifty years. He was also a member of the Shriners.He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Ruth (Stegner) Parker whom he married May 1, 1951; a son, John L. (Ann) Parker of Zanesville; three grandchildren, Erin (Kevin) Horstman of Circleville, Dr. Lauren Parker and Christopher Parker of Columbus; and a great-granddaughter, Nora Horstman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Mr. Parker was preceded in death by two brothers, James C. Parker and Lee Roy Parker; a nephew, Dr. James C. Parker; and his step-mother, Axie Parker.The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial Contributions may be made to the local Salvation Army, 515 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio.
