His favorite pastime was going to the casinos, gambling and visiting and laughing with family and many lifelong friends. George greeted everyone with a huge grin and sparkle in his eyes as he loved to tease everyone. George and Darlene owned a cabin on Coeur d'Alene Lake where he enjoyed father/son 'cabin work trips'. He was always eager to wager with anyone lucky enough to be present. George was very involved with his two younger sons' race cars and loved to help obtain sponsors for them. He was a proud father who would boast at the racetrack while watching their races.George was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lorraine Saling, his brothers, Joseph and Eugene (Chubby) and his beloved daughter, Georgia Lynne.A celebration of George's life will be held at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in the name of "Lawrence George Barton" to the at "conquercancerfoundation.org" or to the Hospice of Spokane at 121 S.
