Zettle, Lawrence P.Lawrence P. Zettle, 81, Green Bay, passed away at home, Monday, October 2, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 25, 1936, in Sturgeon Bay to Lawrence and Dorothy (Ferguson) Zettle.Lawrence served in the U.S. Army. On September 4, 1980, he married Linda (Tuschy) Christensen at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Throughout his career, Lawrence was a machinist mechanic for various railroad companies. Lawrence enjoyed woodworking, as well as Nascar, the Packers and basically all sports. He was a very selfless person and was always doing things for other people. Lawrence was a loving husband, father and grandfather.He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children and their spouses, Laurie Zettle, Larry Zettle, Lynn Morton and her fiancé, Tracy French, Loni and Pete Fraser, Leigh and Randy Hovde, Len and Sue Zettle, Michelle and Wayne Seefeldt, Sheila and Doug Greenwood; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Shawna, Emma, Krysta, Jeffery, Shannon, Kimberly, Amanda, Carrie, Kevin, Zac, Megan, Cassie, Kirstie, Bryan, Brandon, Tara, Austin, Noah; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Delfosse; nieces, nephews and extended family.Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lisa Smith, granddaughter, Kayla Petitt; sister, Elaine Van Dalen; and brother, Richard Zettle.Friends may call at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Fort Howard Chapel Mausoleum.
