Lawrence Willard ReedAVONDALE: Lawrence Willard Reed, 94, of Avondale, passed away at 3:27 p.m. on Wed. March 23, 2016 at his home. He was born on Dec. 11, 1921 in Zanesville, a son of the late Harley and Elsie (Dickson) Reed. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was retired from Columbia Cement Plant.He is survived by two sons John Reed of Roseville and Tim (Tena) Reed of Norwich. Four grandchildren Rodney (Amy) Reed, Cheryl (Larry) Eby, Tim (Kenzi) Reed, and Travis (Megan) Reed. Eight great-grandchildren. Two sisters Joy Hudak and Hazel George.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Reed. One sister Helen Brauning.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday March 25, 2016 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 26, 2016. Pastor Larry Penrod officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery where Zanesville VFW Post #1058 will conduct military honors.
