MONTGOMERY CO. Leah (Folkes) Coffin, 94, wife of the late James H. Coffin, of Arbor Square, Lower Salford Twp., died Monday, September 22, 2014, at Sanatoga Center, Lower Pottsgrove Twp. She was a former longtime resident of Manchester Twp. Mrs. Coffin was born on July 25, 1920, in Rhein, Saskatchewan. She was a daughter of the late Conrad and Maria (Rommel) Folkes. Mrs. Coffin owned and operated the Bright Spot Diner, York City, from 1947 to 1977. Mrs. Coffin was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Coffin is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Rahauser), wife of Charles E. "Gene" Miesse of Skippack Twp.; her granddaughter, Cynthia J. (Miesse) Ohlin; her great-grandchildren, Leah (Ohlin) Hodges and Ryan Ohlin; and her sister, Pauline DiCasa of Ancaster, Ontario. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings. A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, October 17, at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Daniel M. Schaefer, Pastor, officiating. Friends may call from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Friday at church. Burial will be private in Schwenksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 311 2nd St., Schwenksville, PA 19473. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
