Leah M. VanceJune 18, 1938 - May 16, 2016 Leah M. Vance passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at home. She was born on June 18, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a military wife, Leah traveled, worked and donated her time, possessions and love. She quilted for organizations like the Navy Relief, Women's Shelter's and The Mission. Leah's love for the animals brought her to the Humane Society Thrift Shop, where she has donated countless hours to help with the efforts to stop the overpopulation of homeless animals in Yuma. She also donated her time and love to Feline Friends, an organization under the supervision of the Humane Society of Yuma. She was a loyal and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother with a love for her family and Yuma. We will love and miss you, more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow. Leah is survived by her daughters, Terri and Annette; grandchildren, Shawn, Ryan, Tony and Lauren; great grandchildren, Trey and Ivy. Leah was preceeded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Vance of 53 years; son, Jonathan Lee Vance; father, Jack L. Tatum and mother, Elma E. Tatum. Johnson Mortuary is handling cremation. No memorial services will be held as requested.
