The funeral Service for LeAnn K. Coller, 59, of Dodge Center, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, at Evanger Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant, with the Rev. Dwight Dobell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Coller died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, following a lengthy illness with pulmonary hypertension at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus, where she had been a patient for four days. LeAnn Kay Gronseth was born on Dec. 13, 1956, in Minneapolis to Stanley and Ellen (Quinn) Gronseth. She grew up on the family farm outside of Sargent, where she loved helping take care of the chickens, pigs, cows and farm cats. LeAnn attended Hayfield schools and during high school, she fell in love with music, started playing the guitar and began a lifelong interest in arts and crafts. She graduated from Hayfield HIgh School in 1974 and then attended college at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minn., where she majored in social work. She transferred to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in social work. LeAnn was married on April 10, 1980 at Evanger Lutheran Church in Sargent to Byron A. Coller. The couple moved to a farm outside of Rochester and started their family. In 1999, they moved to Dodge Center, where they have continued to make their home. LeAnn was a homemaker and loved spending time with her four daughters making crafts, participating in their 4 -H activities and volunteering at her church. Byron has been employed as an over-the-road semi-trailer driver for the past 37 years. In her later years, LeAnn spent most of her time focusing on her crafts and entering craft shows, and helping friends and neighbors with her homemade care packages. LeAnn enjoyed reading, cooking yummy food and loved spending time with family and friends, playing with her grandkids, and taking care of her beloved dog, Ginger. LeAnn is survived by her husband Byron and her four daughters, Sarah (Charlie) Saul of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robyn Robertson of Dodge Center, Michelle (Andrew) Pleschourt of Lonsdale, Minn., and Mickalla Coller of St. Paul; four grandchildren, Abigail Saul, Jacob and Erik Robertson, and Arnold Pleschort; step-son Anthony Coller; and her brother, Arlen (Patricia) of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents and her maternal and paternal grandparents. A time of visitation will take place from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are pending with Griffin-Gray Funeral Home, Stewartville.
