Minister Leatrice Edwards was born September 16, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Freddie & Mamie Harris. On October 25, 2017, Minister Leatrice Edwards was called home to join her beloved parents and brothers, Eddie (Junior) Milton and William Harris who preceded her in death. Better known as “Nita” she touched many hearts with her caring and generous spirit. Minister Leatrice Edwards accepted Chris att an early age. She believed in prayer and spreading the word of God. She made everyone feel special and unique. She represented LOVE.
At the age of seventeen, Minister Leatrice Edwards married Glenn Edwards of Chicago, Illinois, and unto that union, two children were born, Tonnita, and Lynn. Minister Leatrice Edwards was crazy about her husband (boyfriend) and her girls.
In 1999, Minister Leatrice Edwards founded Anointed Women of God Ministries. In early 2000, she was ordained as a Minister. She currently was a member of Bible Way Community Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Leonard Ross. Minister Leatrice Edwards was a woman after God's own heart.
Left to share the memories of Nita is her loving husband of 44 years, Glenn Edwards; daughters Tonnita (Dwayne) Pope and Lynn Edwards; three grandchildren; Raven Edwards-Hunt, Jada Lee and Kyla Edwards-Upshaw, one great-grandson Raylan Edwards-Pryor, Siblings: Bobby Milton, Ronnie Milton, Maine (Florence) Harris, Larry Milton, Nathaniel Harris, Floyd (Cathalene) Harris, Barbara (Ronald) Peatry, Eddie Mae Saunders, Lavella (Stacy) Swanson, Yvette (Gerald) Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and relatives and friends.
