Lee A. CasnerDecember 6, 1942 - October 28, 2014Lee A. Casner, 71, of Nampa, passed away at home with family on October 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. Lee was born on December 6, 1942 in Napa, CA to Ray & Nancy Louise Casner, & was raised in a little mining town called You Bet where his father was a gold miner. When he was 18, he joined the
Army for a brief stint, & received an honorable discharge. He then married Marilyn Lewis. They had 3 sons, Joseph, Timothy, and Ronald. They later divorced. From 2 other unions came his children Melody, Gary, and Randy. He married his beloved wife, Mollie, in June 1977. They were married for 35 years until her passing in 2013. They had a daughter, Cynthia. Lee loved the Lord and his family. He enjoyed reading his Bible, gold mining, fishing, and spending time in the mountains. Lee is survived by his children, Joe (Michelle) Casner, Tim Casner, Ron (Dawn) Casner, Melody Casner, Gary (Jennifer) Casner, Randy, & Cindy (Rick) Piersol; his siblings, Margaret Starnes, Marie Casner, Elsie (Buzz) Sheldon, Albert Casner, Alice (Darrel) Schafer, Al (Lan) Casner, grandchildren, nieces, & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie, his parents, his siblings John, Jim, Walt, Mary, Betty, & Clyde. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave S., Nampa, Idaho 83651. A celebration of life dinner will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Goldcrest Community Clubhouse, 722 N. Cambridge St, Nampa, ID 83651. An online guest book is available at
