Lee L. Jones LUBBOCK-Lee L. Jones, 64, of Houston, formerly of Lubbock, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017. He was born on Feb. 29, 1952, to Lee Roy and Eleanor Jones in Lubbock, Texas. Lee worked as a railway builder for Southern Pacific Railroad. Lee was a dedicated father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Billy Wayne Jones and Roy Lee Jones; one sister, Betty Wynn. Lee leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Alice Jones; one son, Allen Wayne Jones (Shawna); eight grandchildren; six sisters, Margie Jefferson, Bobby Gambler, Clemmie Williams, Peggy Jones, Helen Jones, and Tracey Oduor; three brothers, DeWayne Jones, Victor Jones, and Kenneth Jones; a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Peaceful Garden Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
