Lee Roy GrayBALTIMORE: Lee Roy Gray, 81 of Baltimore Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Lee was born on October 13, 1934 in Long Island, Alabama to the late Beatrice and James Gray. He joined the
United States Air Force and served his country as a Military Policeman for 20 years. After retiring, he continued his work as a Sheriff's Deputy and Investigator for the Dade County Sheriff's Office in Trenton, Georgia. Lee retired from the Pickaway County Ohio Sheriff's Office where he also served as a Deputy, Jail Administrator and Investigator. He was an officer for the Bass Masters Club in Pickaway County, was a competitive fisherman, and played guitar. Along with high school sports, Lee was a fastpitch softball pitcher and football player for the United States Air Force teams. He earned an Associates Degree in Business & Criminal Justice from The
Ohio State University.Lee is survived by his wife Phyllis Gray of Baltimore, Ohio, daughter Cindy Gray of Baltimore, son and daughter-in law Mark and Jessica Alexander-Gray of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and daughter and son-in law Susan and Graig Barnett of Baltimore. Grandchildren Taylor and Mason Barnett, Elizabeth and Caden Alexander-Gray, several nephews, nieces and cousins.He was preceded in death by his infant son Michael, twin brother Ray, his beloved dog Ginger, and eighteen brothers and sisters who resided in Georgia. Also preceded by several fish he caught throughout the years!Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6th at 1pm at JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore Ohio. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate in Reynoldsburg. Friends may call from 11am to 1pm on September 6th at the funeral home.
