Leila Patterson, 72, of Williams Moreland, Westmoreland, Jamaica, passed Thursday, April 18, 2019 due to diabetes and congestive heart failure. Leila was born April 10, 1947 in her beautiful country town. She eloped and married her longtime friend and love Rupert Williams in December of 1970 who preceded her death in 2005.
Leila loved to love on people. She sewed dolls and little quilted sayings constantly. Her hands were rarely still. For many years, Leila worked as a counselor for Crosslands Retirement of Jamaica in Negril. It suited her servant heart. She states that she did it because of a promise that she made to her laid grandfather. "Do what's right and do what's good. Be kind and help others. The world can always use one more kind person. And if you can take it one step further, please do."
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse Ephesians 4:32--- "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Leila was surrounded by three loving kids and 8 grandkids, all of which she loved and touched deeply.
