Lenard Smallwood, 44, of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed Saturday, February 22, 2020. Lenard was born to Justina Jennings , November 18, 1975 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Lenard graduated from Churchland in 1992 and received a degree from Bowie State in 1998. He married Penny Smallwood in 2019, and they lived together in New Orleans, Louisiana . Lenard worked at Shipyard until he retired in 2017.

Lenard is survived by 4 children: Alisha, August , Lashay, and Alexandria .
