LAGRANGE — Lenoard Ritchie, 69, of LaGrange died Thursday, May 12, 2016, at his home. He was born on Nov. 5, 1946, in Ritchie, Kentucky, to Austin and Holly (Polly) Ritchie. He was a veteran of the
United States Marine Corps. He married Janice Combs on Nov. 18, 1967, in Wolcottville, Indiana. She survives. Lenoard was formerly employed as a foreman at the Fort Wayne Foundry in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Wolcottville, Indiana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, the outdoors and his family. He is survived by his wife; one son, Danny Joe and Sheila Ritchie of LaGrange, Indiana; one daughter, Sharon Ann and Russell McCoy of LaGrange, Indiana; three brothers, Benjamin and Thelma Ritchie of LaPorte, Texas, Truman and Delia Ritchie of LaGrange, Indiana, and Robert and Diane Ritchie of Kimmell, Indiana; two sisters, Lutisha and Cecil Ritchie of Fisty, Kentucky, and Sophonia and Leon Godsey of Stroh, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Cody Ritchie, Josh Fuller, Joey Fuller, Travis Fuller, Faith Ritchie, Grace Ritchie, Hope Ritchie, Marissa Lewis and Landon Sturgis; and three great-grandchildren, Ryker Slone, Kamryn Ritchie and Karsyn Ritchie. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Shelly Ritchie; six brothers, Lauza Ritchie, Hubert Ritchie, Oscar Ritchie, Edmond Ritchie, Marion Ritchie and Corbitt Ritchie; and two sisters, Kizzie VanBerken and Dicy Featherston. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 2-6 p.m. at the Community Baptist Church, C.R. 700S, Wolcottville, Indiana. A church service will begin immediately following visitation at 6 p.m. at the church. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Carl Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City, Indiana, with burial rights performed by the United States Marine Corps Detail Team and the American Legion.
